INGREDIENTS:
For the outer covering
- 1 cup potatoes, mashed
- 1 cup mixed dals (chana, green moong) soaked and boiled
- 1 tablespoon khuskhus (poppy seeds) roasted
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) powder
- 1/4 cup pear, grated
- 1/4 cup carrot, grated
For the filling
- 3 tbsp cheese grated
- 2 teaspoon raisins
- 2 tablespoon of mixed nut powder (cashew nuts, almonds, pista)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon ghee
METHOD:
For the outer covering
- In a bowl combine the potatoes, dals, pears, carrots and salt
- Season it and keep aside.
For the filling
- Combine all the ingredients for the filling and keep aside
- Make balls of covering and flatten it
- Fill it with 2 teaspoon mixture in the centre.
- Close it and flatten it evenly to any desired shape.
- Roast it on a non stick pan with little ghee.
- Let it cool for a while before packing.
